Former National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) chief Abdullahi Mohamed Ali (Sanbalolshe) has reportedly arrived in Beledweyne, entering through Feer-Feer along the Ethiopian border, where he was escorted by a convoy of Macawiisley militia fighters.
His arrival comes amid growing unrest in Beledweyne, where protests have erupted against Somalia’s Federal Government, whose constitutional term has expired, and a disputed election held in Hirshabelle State.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggest that Villa Somalia is preparing to issue an arrest warrant for Sanbalolshe amid escalating political tensions.
No official confirmation of the reported arrest warrant has been issued.
